Join the ultimate gathering of makers, innovators, and STEM educators at Maker-Con in Lake Macquarie!

Maker-Con is a conference that will bring together makers, innovators, enthusiasts, creatives and STEM educators for a dynamic exchange of ideas, skills and inspiration including robotics, AI, custom VR, coding and circuits, and digital fabrication.

Offering hands-on workshops and expert-led talks that showcase making, DIY culture and STEM education, the day will include:

  • Robotics with Tribotix demonstrating innovative technology and the use of robotics in education
  • How to use digital fabrication tools to make almost anything, from prototyping to final products
  • Learn to design custom VR, using sensors and actuators
  • Use modern maker electronics to build fun and creative projects
  • DIY media installation for urban art and digital placemaking
  • How to use everyday materials to deliver hands-on learning in STEM
  • Explore how FabLabs technology fosters creativity and entrepreneurship for people and communities.

Whether you’re an experienced maker, an aspiring digital fabricator, an educator looking to integrate hands-on learning into your curriculum or simply passionate about DIY, Maker-Con provides the perfect platform to learn, connect and share with like-minded individuals.

When: 9am-7pm Friday 18 October

Where:  Windale Hub, bilyabayi, 20 Lake Street Windale NSW 2306

For: All ages, 16 years and over can attend without an adult

Tickets: Adult $80, Student/Concession $60, Parent/Guardian $60 (plus booking fee)

Ticket includes full access to the event, morning tea, lunch, a networking event, and access to participate in the Maker Showcase.
