Hunter Circular presents International Insights for a Circular Hunter

$20An inspiring and insightful event where leaders in the Australian Circular Economy space come together to share their learnings after attending the World Circular Economy Forum 2023. This exciting gathering will feature speakers; Nicole Garafano (Planet Ark’s ACE Hub), Eloise Lobsey (Hunter Joint Organisation), and Annie Jiang (Go Circular), who have explored innovative circular economy solutions on an international scale. We will also be launching an innovative online platform for circular economy in the Hunter and showcasing local circular initiatives through interactive stalls.

Annie Jiang
Annie Jiang is CEO of Go Circular, a strategic advisory organisation focusing on circular economy and sustainability. Go Circular delivers the values and benefits of circular economics and long-term sustainability to businesses, communities, governments and knowledge institutions.
Annie brings international expertise and insight in a range of industries that enable her to relate commercial drivers to circular economics.
Annie has been working with a broad spectrum of businesses through their project in sustainability and circular economy- from small café owners, state and local government departments to large multinational companies.
Annie holds number of Non-Executive Director roles and has Bachelor of Business, Master of HR Management, Graduate of Environmental Management and Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Dr Nicole Garofano
Dr Nicole Garofano is the Head of Circular Economy Development for Planet Ark. In her role, Nicole leads the ongoing strategic development of the Australian Circular Economy (ACE) Hub, the national reference platform for circular economy knowledge and collaboration in Australia.
For almost 20 years, Nicole has worked in environmental education and action with a focus on waste management, and more recently, circular economy.
Nicole has a PhD from research focused on the plastic food and beverage packaging value chain, identifying innovation to improve chain activities and outcomes.
Eloise Lobsey
Eloise is the Program Lead for Circular Economy at the Hunter Joint Organisation, a program focussed on coordinating the various ways in which local government can help catalyse the region’s transition to a circular economy.
Eloise is passionate systems thinker and circular design advocate who believes in the collective power of adopting regenerative mindsets. A town planner by trade, Eloise has 15 years of local government experience in NSW, Victoria and the UK, working across a range of environmental policy and programs focus areas including resource recovery, circular economy, food systems, behaviour change, placemaking, sustainable design and land use planning.
