How will the Internet of Things (IoT) make your life easier, more fun or interesting? This event is a hands-on opportunity to build your very own IoT project with access to cutting edge development kits and leading IoT experts from the local region. Learn about IoT by actually doing it. Meet like-minded folk and be privy to the latest exciting developments in the enormously promising world of the Internet of Things. Program:

5:30 - 6:30 Lecture to be held in Riddell Theatre followed by dinner/networking sponsored by Eighteen04.

7:00 - 9:30 Three J Block (Basden Building) Electronics laboratories will be set up for approximately 15 participants in each room. A challenge theme will be assigned to each room eg. tracking stolen equipment, monitoring bridge vibration etc. Participants will build a working prototype that solves the problem posed their laboratory.

Anyone interested in the exciting world of Internet of Things. Young and old, employed and not, experienced or new – if you care about the world around you and would love to make an impact with modern technology, then this is the event for you.

Please wear sensible comfortable clothing with enclosed footwear. Eye protection will be required for safety in the laboratories.
